My daughter Isabella, known to most as Izzy, has been at NWSOD since 2nd grade. This school has provided a nurturing environment for her to grow as an individual and a dancer. But beyond the skills she has learned she has had success. Isabella struggles in school, but the confidence she has gained from NWSOD and the joy she feels when she is there and dancing have brought her a feeling of accomplishment and pride that she wasn't getting elsewhere. Isabella loves NWSOD, and I love how she feels when she is there. I couldn't think of a better place to send my daughter!

My daughter has been at the Northern Westchester School of Dance for several years now, and grows to love it more each year. The school provides a wonderful, nurturing environment, while at the same time delivering rigorous and creative instruction. My daughter has grown not only her skills and sense of accomplishment, but her love of dance. Simply put, this school is superb.

My 2 daughters have been dancing at SOD for a few years and what they like most are the teachers! They have both been able to grow as dancers because of the relaxed, yet challenging direction they have received. The teachers and staff are very supportive and have the children's best interests at hand. We also enjoy the diversity of classes they are offering each year.

My fourteen year old daughter has been dancing for a number of years at several other dance schools. This past year was her first at NWSOD. She has found it challenging, rewarding and fun. Her technique and artistry have improved tremendously and her love for dance has deepened. As a parent, I am very pleased with her progress and I find the school to be wonderfully organized and easy to deal with.

NWSOD has been an amazing place for my daughter - as a mom of a 3 year old girl, I couldn't wait to get her started. The first school we tried was very chaotic and then I found NWSOD - it is a calm and happy place. She just finished her first year and can't wait to continue. Although she has a tendency to be shy, she warmed quickly to her teachers here, looked forward to class every week and enjoyed every minute of performing on stage. Because of this wonderful place, I know my daughter's love for dance will continue to grow.

I have four kids - three of them are currently NWSOD students. Our family has tried other area dance schools, which had their pros and cons for different ages and skill levels. This school is a good fit for our family. My kids affectionately refer to their dancing school as the "SOD" and they are so happy with the progress they are making. I like how the students are treated as individuals and mentored to reach their own potential. The atmosphere at the school is supportive and not competitive. We look forward to another great year!

I have been dancing for 7 years, and at my old studio, I felt as if i wasnt getting the dance education I needed. But at NWSOD I am getting a lot out of the classes, and have improved soooo much since the year started. From my first week here it felt like home.

I have three daughters dancing at SOD, and we all love it. The instruction is excellent, and the people are warm and supportive. The girls work hard, but are not competitive with each other--no pyramid rankings at NWSOD! My daughters improved so much in just their first year that it is truly remarkable.

NWSOD has far surpassed our expectations of what we could expect from a dance school. Miss Kathi's high standards and expertise in dance and dance instruction raised the bar for all of her students and they met the challenge successfully. Having had 3 daughters dance with Miss Kathi over the years, we are pleased with the poised, confident, disciplined and dedicated students of dance they have become.
